'Cooking with the Star’ Online Contest 2018

Terms and Conditions
  1. Organiser and Eligibility “Cooking with the Star” Contest 2018 (hereafter “Contest”) is organized by Suria KLCC Shopping Centre (hereafter “Organiser”). By participating in this Contest, you agree to comply with all terms and conditions forth in this article. This Contest opens to all residents and permanent residents of Malaysia with valid NRIC except Employees of the Organiser including its affiliated and related companies and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses); and/or representatives, employees, servants and/or agents of advertising and/or promotion service providers of Organiser including its affiliated and related companies, and their immediate family members. The Contest period runs from 15 May 2018, 12.00am to – 27 May 2018, 10pm. The Organizer reserves the right to change the Contest period at any time without written notice. The Organiser reserves the rights to terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expense as a result thereof. The Organiser reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Contest Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time. Participants agree to be bound to any such changes. The Organiser’s decision shall be final and binding. No correspondence shall be entertained.
  2. How to Participate
    To participate in the Contest, participants are required to:
    a. Spend a minimum of RM 80.00 in a single receipt at any of Suria KLCC’s F&B outlets.
    b. Submits their F&B receipt(s), Receipt Number, Name as per NRIC Number, NRIC Number, Phone number, E-mail address via contest page at www.suriaklcc.com.my.
  3. Judging / Winner Selection Criteria
    a. The participant will be shortlisted based on the highest amount spent from all the qualified number of receipt (s) submitted per participant.
    b. Each participant can only win once. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
    c. Only valid entries are to be considered. An entry is considered valid when it is submitted within the Contest period and has fulfilled all required procedures as stated in the How to Participate section. The Organiser nonetheless reserves the right to reject any entry at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever. Any decision from the Organiser is final and no correspondence shall be entertained.
  4. Winners and Prizes
    a. Maximum of 30 winners will be selected across each live cooking demonstration respectively at:
    • Chinoz On The Park – 2 June 2018, 4pm
    • Svago – 9 June 2018, 4pm
    1. Result of the Contest
      a. Winner announcement will be made via Suria KLCC website, Facebook and SMS on 28th May 2018.
      b. Winners will be notified through e-mail and SMS on 28th May 2018.
      c. Winners must provide their full name as per NRIC number for verification purposes.
      d. Once received the E-mail and SMS notification, winners need to confirm and RSVP latest by 29 May 2018.
      e. The Organiser has the right to change any live cooking demonstration details without prior notice.
      f. All prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or transferred to another attendance.
      g. Winners are required to include the following personal details if they are being requested: Name, NRIC Number and Email Address. The Organiser and any party acting on its behalf may use such details to communicate with winners on matters relating to the Contest. Unless compelled by applicable legislation, the Organiser will not provide such information to any third party without permission.
    2. Winner’s Notification
      a. E-mail and SMS to the winners on 28 May 2018.
      b. Once received the E-mail and SMS notification, winners need to confirm and RSVP latest by 29 May 2018.
      c. Winners need to present their NRIC number upon registration during the live cooking demonstration latest by 3pm on 2 June 2018 OR 9 June 2018.

      The Organiser is not responsible for failure to contact any winners as a result of invalid contact information provided within the email submitted. – The Organiser makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prizes and will not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage thereto or arising there from. – The Organiser reserves the right to replace the said live cooking demonstration with another of equal or lesser value. -Winners hereby irrevocably agree and give consent to The Organiser to publish any related matter to the entries including and not limited to the Winners' names or interviews and photographs for current and future advertising and promotional purposes. – The Organiser is not responsible for Internet connection error that may affect the Contest.
  5. Liability
    The Organiser will not be responsible or liable for any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any participants, or their authorised representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest. Any error (including error in notification of Contest winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, Internet line failure, theft, destruction of, or unauthorised access to entries, PC hang whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, viruses, bugs or other causes outside its control.
  6. Disqualification
    The Organiser reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify anyone deemed to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or committing any breach or potential breach of these Contest Terms and Conditions. No correspondence shall be entertained.

    Participants will be automatically disqualified from the Contest if:
    a). Receipt(s) posted belongs to another individual and/or participating F&B tenants ; or
    b). Receipt (s) posted earlier than or after the Contest period; or
    c). Receipt (s) does not have the correct minimum amount required.
    Your personal data including your name and contact details (“Personal Data”) which you have provided to the Organiser (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us” or “our”) in your application to participate in the Cooking with the Star 2018 (“Contest”) will be recorded, stored or otherwise processed by us for purposes relating to the administration of the Contest and for related advertising, publicity, marketing and our other legitimate business purpose (“Purpose”). Please be informed that your Personal Data may be disclosed to our affiliates, service providers and relevant business partners such as public relations agencies, market research firms, advertising agencies (if any) for the Purpose and as permitted by applicable data privacy laws.
  8. Disclaimer
    The Organiser receives and processes your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy and the PDPA when you provide Personal Data to the Organiser. You acknowledge that you have agreed to our terms and conditions upon participation in The Contest by allowing the Organiser to collect, use, and process your Personal Data in accordance with our privacy policy and the PDPA for the following purposes:
    a. Sending you information related to online promotions, contests and events, and related to our marketing activities, unless you have indicated to us that you do not wish for us to process your Personal Data for such purposes;
    b. Using your information for marketing and statistical analysis for planning and demo-graphical use;
    c. Complying with local law and regulatory requirements or to assist in law enforcement and investigations by relevant authorities;
    d. Any other purposes related to our marketing activities.
